Dr. Nathan Yang moved to Longview to join East Texas Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in June of 2022. He grew up in Arlington, TX where he graduated from Martin High School after which he attended the University of Texas at Austin where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Dr. Yang then attended Texas A&M Health Sciences Center Baylor College of Dentistry where he earned a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). To further his education, he attended LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport School of Medicine where he earned a degree in Doctor of Medicine (MD). Dr. Yang completed an internship in General Surgery and residency Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, one of the country’s premier programs. Dr. Yang and Dr. Mack did their training together. During residency, Dr. Yang had broad scope training in dentoalveolar surgery, implant dentistry, office-based anesthesia, reconstructive surgery, cosmetics, trauma, TMJ surgery, benign and malignant pathology, and cleft/craniofacial surgery. Dr. Yang is an active member ofthe American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and East Texas Dental Society. His current certifications include Level 4 Sedation Permit from the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). In his spare time, Dr. Yang enjoys traveling, cooking, skiing, hunting and fishing. He is excited to start the next chapter of his life serving the people of East Texas.
Dr. Luke Mack was born and raised in Longview, Texas. After graduating from Longview High School, Dr. Mack moved on to obtain his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University where he majored in Biomedical Science and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 3 years. Dr. Mack then attended the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston where he earned a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society . To further his education, Dr. Mack moved to Shreveport, LA where he completed an internship in General Surgery. He, alongside Dr. Yang, went on to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, one of the country’s premier programs. Dr. Mack was trained in full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery including dentoalveolar surgery, implant dentistry, office-based anesthesia, corrective jaw surgery, cosmetics, Botox/fillers, trauma, TMJ surgery, benign and malignant pathology, and cleft/craniofacial surgery. Dr. Mack is an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and East Texas Dental Society. His current certifications include Level 4 Sedation Permit from the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), as well as board certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, basketball, traveling and spending time with his friends. Dr. Mack is also enjoying being a newlywed with his wife Baleigh Mack, who also practices Dentistry in Longview. Dr. Mack is dedicated to carrying on his family legacy and providing optimal care to his fellow residents of East Texas.
This continuing education course is designed to provide dental professionals with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and manage medical emergencies that may occur in the dental office. The course will cover the most common medical emergencies that can arise in the dental setting, including cardiovascular, respiratory, allergic, and diabetic emergencies.
